Our Story

Hi.   I’m Doreen, the inventor and owner of the company (DE Company, LLC) that sells ‘Slide and Hide CoverKeepers’.   I invented this product when I was 82 years-old stemming from two things:  1) I was a realtor/broker for 40 years and saw many, many bedrooms throughout my Real Estate Career.   I saw many cluttered bedrooms with too much furniture or many comforters that looked dirty and ragged.   2) One night, I tripped on my bedspread that had fallen on the floor hitting my head which required an ER visit and stitches!  I knew there had to be a solution better than the bedspread/comforter landing on the floor or a heavy bedroom bench that I could also trip on in the night and would have to vacuum around.  I invented the ‘Slide and Hide Cover Keepers’ as my solution!  

I went through a few different designs and prototypes before landing on what I believe to be a great solution that is flexible for different bed sizes and comforter/bedspread weights.   It was important to me to have a product that looked nice (even though it is hidden during the day), would stand the test of time, and is made in the U.S.A.    I can proudly say that ‘Slide and Hide CoverKeepers’ meets those criteria.  The product is made of stainless steel, is durable, and is manufactured in Colorado by father-son team in which the adult-son is blind.  

I use my ‘Slide and Hide CoverKeepers’ in all my bedrooms.   They work great in the master bedroom (either at the end of my bed or at the side of my bed) and in my guest rooms.  I’ve given them as gifts to help my grandchild learn the responsibility of making her bed.   I sincerely hope you try and enjoy the Slide and Hide CoverKeepers as it’s been a joy to create this product knowing that I’m helping people keep their bedrooms tidy.
